NFL’s Winless Teams Don’t Claim Trent Edwards On Waiver Wire

Because Trent Edwards is not a vested veteran, he is required to pass through the NFL's waiver wire now that the Bills have released him.

That means every other NFL team will get a shot at signing him with Week 3’s team with the worst record going first.

So far, the NFL's winless teams haven't taken the bait. Per Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, the Lions, Browns, Panthers and 49ers did not put a claim in on Edwards.

The 49ers are the surprise team there as many people thought they would take a shot at him.

The Seahawks, at 2-1, are down the waiver wire but they're a team some are thinking could put in a claim for him.
