Lawrence Taylor Pleads Guilty; No Jail Time Expected

Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors resulting from his arrest last May with a prostitute. He pled guilty to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute.

Taylor expects to avoid jail time but will have to register as a sex offender. Taylor was previously offered a plea deal of six months jail time, 10 years probation and registering as a sex offender. He had previously pleaded not guilty to third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and endangering a child.

Taylor’s reputation has taken (another) hit with the arrest and he lost some endorsement deals (NutriSystem) because of it.

Taylor will serve six years of probation.
