Bengals Vs. Ravens: Baltimore On The Board After Todd Heap Flea Flicker, 3-0

The Baltimore Ravens have given themselves an early edge in their quest for playoff positioning. The Cincinnati Bengals had ball first, with QB Carson Palmer throwing a pick to safety Ed Reed as soon as he could get around to it. A 37-yard flea flicker screen (!) to TE Todd Heap put Baltimore into the red zone, setting up a 25-yard Billy Cundiff field goal.

Palmer now has 19 interceptions on the year. One more in the next 50 minutes and he’ll tie his career high.

Ravens RB Ray Rice (rrrrrr!) added 18 yards on four carries, the entirety of Baltimore’s non-Heap offense. For the Bengals, RB Curtis Benson contributed an eight-yard carry.

The Ravens need a win and a loss by the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Cleveland Browns to take the AFC North. The Ravens hold a tiebreaker edge over the Steelers, but the Steelers had the better record entering week 17.
