The Tennessee Titans are going to stick by their plan to trade or release QB Vince Young despite the departure of coach Jeff Fisher, according to Adam Schefter. When the Fisher report first broke, it wasn’t clear whether the team would come around to keeping Young, since the decision to find a new home for the quarterback was largely made during a feud between Young and Fisher.
Vince Young Gone Despite Jeff Fisher’s Exit As Titans Coach, According To Report
Potential destinations for Young could be … well, any team that needs a quarterback, especially ones that have the stability to take on a player that can be difficult to work with at times. The Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins have been rumored to be interested, but nothing has come out as in the works.
Fisher and Young have had minor issues throughout their time together in Tennessee, with one of the biggest public spats occurring after Fisher benched the quarterback in a game against the Washington Redskins, after which the two had a verbal confrontation. Young lost his starting job after that.
