Arizona To Host Super Bowl, Uh, Forty-Five-Nine, Maybe

The NFL had planned to announce the location of Super Bowl XLIX (in other words, Super Bowl 49) in 2015. Well instead, via its Twitter account, the NFL awarded a different Super Bowl to the Cardinals.

↵↵Super Bowl XLVIX (49) in 2015 has been awarded by a vote of the NFL clubs to Arizona.

↵↵XLVIX! That’s Super Bowl Forty-Five-Nine. I think? You know, NFL, when Roman numerals started to get tricky -- maybe around Super Bowl IX -- you really should have given up. Now you’re stuck with Roman numerals forever. Roman numerals and non-metric measurements and crappy overtime rules and Tony Dungy, forever and ever

↵(A firm handshake to @danhodes for noticing the error.)
