NFL Odds And Lines Week 6: Browns Vs. Raiders

The Cleveland Browns head to Oakland as touchdown underdogs facing an emotionally-charged Raiders squad. The Browns are coming off a bye week hoping to put an 18-point loss to the Titans behind them.

The Oakland Raiders opened the week as three-point favorites over the Cleveland Browns. The line has since moved to 7½ in favor of Oakland. The movement could be a reaction to an emotionally taxing week for the Oakland Raiders, who are dealing with the passing of longtime owner Al Davis last Saturday. Expect an electric atmosphere in Oakland, and an edgy performance from the Raiders that could turn on their emotional whims.

The Browns, meanwhile, were likely to be underdogs in this game regardless of extenuating circumstances. They do have the benefit of a bye week, but a week of rest may not be enough to fix the problems that surfaced in a 31-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. Matt Hasselbeck threw for 194 yards in the first half against Cleveland's secondary, building a 21-point lead before putting things in cruise control with the running game.

The Raiders beat the Houston Texans last week 25-20, just one day after Davis passed. The offense struggled mightily, gaining just 278 total yards on the day. The defense was opportunistic per usual, however, recording two interceptions to change the complexion of the game.

The Raiders have struggled against the Browns of late, going 0-5 against the spread in their last five meetings, with just one victory outright. The Raiders are in an odd state right now, however, making this one of the more wildcard games of the weekend.
