NFL Trade Rumors: Kyle Orton Could Be Dealt By Denver Broncos, According To Report

The NFL trade rumors will certainly ramp up in the next 36 hours heading into Tuesday's deadline, but it seems the Denver Broncos will be the talk of the league as three of their best players have reportedly request a change. First it was Brandon Lloyd and Eddie Royal, but now the Associated Press is also reporting that recently-benched Kyle Orton has also requested a change of scenery.

Orton completed 91 of his 155 passing attempts for 979 this season while throwing eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. Unfortunately those numbers weren't impressive enough to go with his team's 1-4 record, however, as he has been benched in favor of second-year pro Tim Tebow.

It isn’t exactly surprising that Orton would be interested in making a move, nor that they’d be willing to give him a chance somewhere else -- even a divisional rival, as the Denver Post reported on Sunday night.

The Broncos are also expected to monitor whether their freshly demoted quarterback Kyle Orton draws interest from the Oakland Raiders after they lost starter Jason Campbell for an extended period. Campbell suffered a broken collarbone in the Raiders' 24-17 win against the Cleveland Browns.

Although, the Raiders are their most heated rivals in the AFC West, the Broncos would be willing to give up Orton in return for a draft pick and relief from the estimated $5 million left on his salary.

Mike Klis, the Post writer who reported the above, later posted on Twitter that Orton has not specifically requested a trade. Regardless, the fact remains that he could be sent down the line anyway regardless if it that’s what he wants.
