Andre Johnson Injury: Texans WR Could Practice This Week

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson has missed the past two weeks due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Johnson underwent a surgical procedure designed to prevent scar tissue from forming next to a tear in his right hamstring. Without Johnson, the Texans have dropped their last two games, but may potentially have some good news for this weekend when they travel to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans.

"Maybe there's a chance he sees the practice field before the end of the week," Texans head coach Gary Kubiak told the medai about Andre Johnson's status today. "We'll have to wait and see," Kubiak added.

This is not to say that Johnson is a possibility to play this weekend, but it’s a great sign for a Texans team who’s struggled offensively in his absence. It certainly sounds like he’s ahead of schedule.
