Ravens Vs. Jets Final Score: Defense Wins The Day In 34-17 Baltimore Victory
Baltimore added a second defensive touchdown in the second quarter as Jarret Johnson scooped up another Sanchez fumble and returned it for the touchdown. New York answered back again, this time by way of an interception return of their own, to head into the half down 27-17.
The second half was a slog, with the only score coming by way of a 73-yard interception return by the Ravens.

Incredibly, neither quarterback has managed to complete 30 percent of his passes in the highest scoring defensive battle in recent memory. Sanchez did enough to lead his team to a late field goal, though, pulling the Jets back within 10 points.
It would be surprising if either offense really got going in the second half, as the two defenses are just too good right now. Still, there’s absolutely no way the quarterback play doesn’t get better in the second half. Flacco and Sanchez have both been downright embarrassed by their opposing defense.

Instead, just moments after the Ravens took a 7-0 lead, McKnight fielded the ensuing kickoff in his own end zone, found a large crease and outran the defense 107 yards for the score. These new kickoff rules are kinda terrible, aren’t they?
McKnight nearly got hauled down from behind at the end of the run, but managed to evade the closing Ravens to stumble into the end zone for the score. And just seconds of game time after the Ravens took the lead, the Jets were back on the board like there was nothing to it.

The Ravens enter the game as 3.5-point favorites, though don’t count on the Jets taking any notice. Ryan knows that if his team wants to take that one step further into the Super Bowl, it will need to prove itself in games like this.
