Ronnie Brown Not Expected To Be Released After Trade To Lions Is Voided

The NFL world received some surprising news on Wednesday evening when it was reported that the trade between the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions that would send Ronnie Brown to Detroit has been voided. Jerome Harrison, who was part of the package headed to Philly, didn't pass his physical, which was contingent on the trade going through.

So Brown remains in Philly and Harrison remains in Detroit.

This brings up the question of Brown’s future in Philly. If the Eagles were willing to trade him for a seventh round pick and Harrison, do they even want him on the team?

Apparently they do, the Philly Inquirer reports.

Brown lost his backup role to rookie Dion Lewis but will remain with the Eagles and resume his role as a reserve tailback, a team source said.

So that’s that
