The San Diego Charges and Ryan Mathews fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief, as the running back has returned to the field. Mathews hurt his thumb earlier in the Chargers' game against the New York Jets.
Ryan Mathews Injury Update: Chargers RB Returns To Field
Since making a brief appearance, Mike Tolbert has continued to get carries, which does make us wonder just how healthy Mathews really is. Tolbert is having a pretty good game in Mathews place, too. He has 53 yards on nine carries and was given three straight shots from about 1-yard out before finally scoring the touchdown. It was his third touchdown of the season.
