It was ugly, painful, and utterly unimpressive, but the Browns got their third win of the season against Seattle in Week 7. With, uh, field goals.
NFL Scores Week 7, Seahawks Vs. Browns: Cleveland Prevails, 6-3, In Defensive Struggle
Cleveland 6, Seattle 3: The sort of game better left to be forgotten by time.
Cleveland more than doubled the Seahawks' offensive output, 298 yards to 137, and the Browns got two Phil Dawson field goals to score a 6-3 victory.
The offensive lines in the game are bereft of eye-popping numbers. Colt McCoy threw for 178 yards and a pick. Monterio Hardesty had 95 yards, but only on 33 carries. Charlie Whitehurst completed just 12 of 30 throws for 97 yards and a pick, and Seattle didn't have a rusher go over 40 yards on the day.
This is the sort of game that is better as a distant memory. And even then, it might not be very good.
With the win, the Browns move to 3-3 on the season, while the Seahawks fall to 2-4 with the loss.
