Rams Vs. Cowboys: Rams DT Darell Scott Suffers Head/Neck Injury

After a very serious head/neck injury to St. Louis Rams offensive tackle Jason Smith, the Rams watched another one of their players hit the ground with a head and neck injury late in the second quarter of their game against the Dallas Cowboys. Defensive tackle Darell Scott was injured on a kick return following a Dallas field goal.

Scott is a backup defensive tackle and special teams player for the Rams. Aout five minutes after the injury, Scott was seen sitting up as trainers tended to him.

Earlier in the game, Jason Smith injured his head and neck trying to make a tackle on a Dallas defender who recovered a Rams turnover. Smith’s injury looked very serious as trainers had to remove his facemask and cart him off the field on a stretcher. Smith was later sent to a Dallas area hospital for further evaluation. No word on Scott or Smith’s status.
