Hines Ward Injury Update: Steelers WR Carted Off With Ankle Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers might have lost wide receiver Hines Ward for the game with an apparently ankle injury. According to multiple reports, Ward went down and was carted off the field with an injury to his ankle. The extent of the injury is not known at this time and his status to return to the game is questionable.

While Ward is one of the most recognizable Steelers wide receivers, his missing shouldn't hurt too, too much. Ward has fallen off a bit as a target since the emergence of Mike Wallace in the Steelers offense. Ward is still a factor over the middle and moving the chains, however. Before his injury, Ward had 3 receptions for 21 yards.
