Tarvaris Jackson Injury: Seahawks QB Could Be Ready Week 8

Tarvaris Jackson was on the field warming up prior to Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Browns, giving some hope to Seattle Seahawks fans that he might be able to play. Head coach Pete Carroll opted not to put in his starter, who had sat out most of the week of practice. According to Carroll, however, Jackson's chances of starting Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals look much better.

“He threw the ball very well under the circumstances, but he’s not 100 percent,” Carroll said. “And he was going to have to say, ‘I can go. I can do it. I don’t feel it.’ And really give us a real positive on it. It’s really up to him right now because he’s the one that’s feeling it. But we thought if he doesn’t go today, that he’ll have a chance to go next week. And if he did go, we didn’t know what would happen.”

Nothing is official yet, but the reports of Jackson throwing the ball well prior to Sunday’s game should have fans feeling (slightly) better about Seattle’s chances this week.
