The Seattle Seahawks don't have the prettiest quarterback situation with starter Tarvaris Jackson pushing through a pectoral muscle injury and backup Charlie Whitehurst struggling in two starts this season. For Jackson, things may not get much better until the offseason.
Tarvaris Jackson’s Injury Could Require Surgery After Seahawks Season
Jackson’s pectoral injury has been bugging him the last few weeks and it sounds like surgery after the season is a possibility.
“That’s one thing I didn’t want to have to think about at all,” Jackson said, according to Eric Williams of the Tacoma Tribune. “Obviously you don’t want to have surgery, period. It was so early in the season, and I just got here. A new start - that would be probably one of the worst things that probably could happen to me, to have surgery that early in the season and not be able to finish”
Whether Jackson gets healthy or not, the Seahawks will have to evaluate their quarterback situation after the season. The combo of Jackson and Whitehurst hasn't been successful this season as the Seahawks sit at 3-6 and five games behind the NFC West-leading San Francisco 49ers.
