Rashard Mendenhall Injury Doesn’t Sound Serious

Breathe, Pittsburgh Steelers fans. It doesn't sound like Rashard Mendenhall's injury is serious. The Steelers RB exited Sunday's game against the Houston Texans with a hamstring injury and didn't return but NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports the injury doesn't appear to be serious.

This isn't the only bit of injury news the Steelers are waiting on. Ben Roethlisberger has a sprained foot and his status, like Mendenhall's, is unknown.

It’s possible Mendenhall could return to practice and play in Week 5 but the team won’t know more until the first practice on Wednesday. From there, the Steelers will list his practice throughout the week before labeling him as out, doubtful, questionable or probable on Friday.

So it’s a big week for the Steelers as we await word on whether a pair of their best players will be available. Oh, and you can add Aaron Smith to the list as well. Tough game for the Steelers.
