Andre Johnson Injury Update: Johnson Out Two To Three Weeks

The Houston Chronicle confirmed that Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson will miss up to three weeks with a hamstring injury. Johnson will undergo a surgical procedure that is designed to prevent scar tissue from forming next to a tear in his right hamstring.

He might recover in time for the Texans’ AFC South showdown with the Tennessee Titans. However, the Texans have been extra cautious with their players recovering from injuries, see Arian Foster, so he is expected to be out of action until October 30, when the Texans play the Jaguars.

The Texans will be without Johnson for what might be their most difficult stretch of the schedule. This week, they host the Oakland Raiders, and travel to Baltimore next week to face a tough Ravens team.

Wide receivers Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter will replace Johnson, in as much as he can be replaced. Tight end Owen Daniels could see more targets as well.
