Everyone's talking about the era of passing offenses in the NFL, but someone forgot to tell Gary Kubiak that teams can't win unless they throw the ball 40 times a game. Houston knocked off the Steelers last week thanks in large part to 155 yards and a touchdown from fully healthy Arian Foster. Foster faces an Oakland defense ranked 29th in the league that reignited New England's running game last week. Even without Andre Johnson, Houston is favored by six points.
NFL Picks And Predictions Week 5: Raiders Vs. Texans
The Houston Texans look to pad their record with Andre Johnson on the shelf against an Oakland defense giving up almost six yards per carry to running backs.
Oakland, of course, knows a thing or two about running the football. Will the electric Darren McFadden be able to lead Oakland to a win this week? Vinnie Iyer at the Sporting News says no.
On the other side, Darren McFadden will get loose for a few big gains, but ultimately, Jason Campbell will fold under the pressure of Houston's swarming 3-4.
Peter King agrees with that assessment, as do the experts on ESPN’s panel.
