The Green Bay Packers began their game against the Atlanta Falcons looking abysmal as they allowed the home team a two-touchdown lead on just two possessions. The Aaron Rodgers led offense came alive in the second half, however, and the Packers have kept alive their hopes for an undefeated season by defeating the Falcons by way of a 25-14 final score.
Packers Vs. Falcons: Green Bay Pulls Out Victory Despite Early Struggles
Aaron Rodgers completed 26 of his 39 passes for 396 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions as the Packers scored 25 unanswered points to improve to 5-0 on the season despite playing without both of their starting offensive tackles.
The Packers biggest play of the game came when James Jones caught a 70-yard touchdown from Rodgers, completing a drive that took just one play, but the connection between Rodgers and Greg Jennings certainly didn’t hurt. In the end, Jones finished with five receptions for 140 yards while Jennings had four catches for 82 yards.
The Falcons didn't look terrible, but a dropped pass from Roddy White on Atlanta's final play of the game -- leading to a second fluke Matt Ryan interception -- ultimately summed up the game for the host team. A Julio Jones injury didn't help, either, as the rookie wide receiver left in the second half with a bum hamstring.
