Julian Edelman Charged With Indecent Assault And Battery On Woman
Patriots WR Julian Edelman was allegedly involved in an incident at a nightclub on Tuesday morning that will result in him getting charged with indecent assault and battery on a woman.
There aren’t many details but officers were called to a night club around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning to investigate an incident.
After speaking with the female victim, Edelman was arrested on a single count of indecent assault and battery, Driscoll said. Edelman was taken into custody but later posted bail and was released by police.
As SB Nation Boston points out, indecent assault is a serious accusation. It’s defined as “any person who has indecent contact with another or takes indecent liberties with a person without his or her consent is guilty of indecent assault. It is a sex crime.”
Patriots players are off today so the next media availability would come on Wednesday.
