Broncos Vs. Jets Injury Report, Thursday Night Football: Willis McGahee, Plaxico Burress Limited

We break down the Monday practice participation reports for the New York Jets and Denver Broncos in advance of Thursday Night Football. For more on the Jets, check out Gang Green Nation. For more on the Broncos, check out Mile High Report.

The New York Jets travel to Denver to face the Broncos on the second week of Thursday Night Football this week, which means both teams got in their first practice session on Monday. Both teams only conducted walkthroughs on Monday, as opposed to full practices. Accordingly, the injury reports are estimations of participation abilities. The teams will submit practice participation reports for Tuesday and Wednesday practices, with a final injury report scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

The big news for the Broncos is that backup running back Knowshon Moreno is out for the season with a torn ACL. Moreno had started the season as the Broncos lead back but he has been unable to establish any consistency and had fallen out of favor.

This injury is of particular significance because Willis McGahee was limited in practice on Monday. McGahee strained his hamstring on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs but was medically cleared to return to practice. If McGahee remains limited, Lance Ball would get some of the carries on Thursday. The Broncos promote Jeremiah Johnson from their practice squad to fill the third running back spot on the depth chart.

The Jets are dealing with a variety of bumps and bruises with Plaxico Burress continuing to rest up for the most part. Ladanian Tomlinson is dealing with an MCL stretch or sprain, which could leave him as a questionable option behind Shonn Greene on Thursday.
