Darrius Heyward-Bey appears to have suffered a somewhat serious injury during Sunday's Oakland Raiders game against the Minnesota Vikings. The wide receiver caught a short pass over the middle and as he was being tackled E.J. Henderson's knee hit the back of Heyward-Bey's head. The collision seemed entirely accidental, but Heyward-Bey's neck was bent in an awkward way.

Heyward-Bey remained on the field for several minutes and required attention from the medical staff. He was carted off the field, and his current status is unknown. From the look of the collision, though, a concussion seems to be the best-case scenario and some kind of neck injury could be the worst-case scenario.
Heyward-Bey was taken off the field with his neck in a brace, but was able to move his arms and legs. He was able to lift his arm to acknowledge the players and fans in the stadium. The wide receiver had made four catches in this game.
