Eagles Vs. Giants Halftime Score: Steve Smith Touchdown Ensures Philadelphia Lead

The New York Giants are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles for this week's installment of Sunday Night Football, but things didn't exactly go in their favor during the game's first half. The Giants trail the Eagles 10-3 at halftime, a surprise considering Philadelphia is without Michael Vick due to injury.

The Eagles have been anything but impressive, but DeSean Jackson has been the story of the game thus far. The speedy wide receiver injured himself while catching an underthrown pass from Vince Young, got flagged for taunting and returned a 51-yard punt late in the second quarter to put the Eagles in scoring position.

Young has completed just eight of his 18 passing attempts for 89 yards, but his two interceptions were counteracted when he found former Giants wide receiver Steve Smith with 1:30 left in the half to extend the Eagles’ lead to 10 points.

The Giants looked awful in the first half as their first seven possessions ended either via interception or punt. Eli Manning's offense took the field under the two-minute warning, but he was only able to lead the Giants to a field goal.

Manning completed the first half by completing seven of his 18 passing attempts for 77 yards and an interception while running back Brandon Jacobs picked up just 14 yards on six carries.
