After a nightmare start the Philadelphia Eagles may finally be living the dream their also-ran backup quarterback spoke of in August. The Chicago Bears have also been underachieving this year. Unlike the Eagles, they show no signs of righting the course. So, Philly should be able to win easily on Monday night, right? Yes and no, according to the experts.
NFL Picks And Predictions Week 9: Bears Vs. Eagles
Can the Chicago Bears stop the Philadelphia Eagles from soaring on Monday Night Football this week?
Experts seem settled on the idea of the Eagles winning; however, many foresee a very close game. That could very well be the case if Matt Forte runs the way he has been, especially against an Eagles defense that was having trouble against the run.
It's the other running back in this game, LeSean McCoy that Pete Prisco at CBS sees as the biggest difference maker.
The Eagles are coming off an impressive victory over Dallas, while the Bears are coming off the bye. Both teams seemed to fix some early-season troubles in their last couple of games. The Eagles will get after Jay Cutler here and LeSean McCoy outdoes Matt Forte. Eagles handily.
Prisco is virtually alone in picking the Eagles by more than a touchdown. Peter King picks the Eagles narrowly. Pete Schrager at Fox has them by a touchdown. ESPN goes all in on Philly.
