All the Jacksonville Jaguars needed to get a win was to face the turnover-prone Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jacksonville forced seven Bucs turnovers and scored twice on defense in a 41-14 laugher over its Sunshine State rival.
NFL Scores Week 14, Buccaneers Vs. Jaguars: Jacksonville Stomps In-State Rival, 41-14
Jacksonville preyed on the turnover-prone Buccaneers to claim a measure of superiority in the Sunshine State.
Blaine Gabbert had one of the better games of his young career, throwing for 217 yards and two touchdowns, and Maurice Jones-Drew ran for 86 yards and two touchdowns of his own, but the Jaguars' defense carried the day. The Jags picked off three Tampa Bay passes, and recovered four fumbles from the Bucs, with Nate Collins and Colin Cloherty both returning fumbles for touchdowns.
Josh Freeman threw two of those interceptions and lost another fumble, and the Bucs' offense was generally ineffective, recording no plays of over 30 yards.
The Jaguars and Bucs are both now 4-9 on the season.
