Falcons Vs. Jaguars Final Score: Atlanta Blows Out Jacksonville,

The Atlanta Falcons scored the first 41 points of the game on Thursday Night Football, running the Jacksonville Jaguars off the field in a 41-14 win. It was downright ugly for Jacksonville as the Falcons did whatever they pleased on offense while limited Blaine Gabbert to negative passing yards, with sacks, through three quarters. Gabbert finally broke through into positive yardage in the fourth, but it didn’t matter.

Julio Jones opened the scoring just over four minutes into the game, taking a short past and breaking free for a 29-yard touchdown. Atlanta added a field goal on its next possession, then found the end zone again on a Michael Turner touchdown following a muffed punt.

By the time halftime mercifully came, the Jags were down 27-0. Atlanta tacked on two more touchdowns in the third quarter, on a fumble return and Roddy White catch, before the Jags finally put up points, thus avoiding the shutout. Gabbert hit Chastin West late in the fourth quarter for the Jags only touchdown of the game, perhaps giving Jacksonville a nice moral victory.

Matt Ryan threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns, taking a seat after three quarters with the game well in hand. White caught 10 passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns to lead all receivers. Jones caught five balls for 85 yards and a touchdown, with Michael Turner supplementing the passing attack on the ground, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown.

Gabbert finished the game with 141 yards -- most of which came in the fourth quarter -- one touchdown and an interception. Maurice Jones-Drew was over the century mark, rushing for 112 yards, even after spraining his ankle in the first half.
