NFL Scores Week 15, Bengals Vs. Rams: Cincinnati Keeps Playoff Hopes Alive With 20-13 Win

In a game that included several questionable penalties, the Cincinnati Bengals kept their playoff hopes alive with a strong 20-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams. The Bengals were the bunt of some questionable penalties, including a facemask call when Brandon Lloyd was brought down for a big loss outside of field goal range. But the penalty was called, despite no replays showing any such play, and they were able to move a bit closer and kick a field goal.

Cincinnati benefited from a penalty shortly after, in the second quarter when quarterback Andy Dalton went deep to A.J. Green down the sideline. Green pushed off of the defender, instigating the only contact, and then tripped on his own feet, coming down hard on his right shoulder. The referees called pass interference on the Rams, and the Bengals caught a break.

It didn't lead to any scores, though. Green went down with an injury on the play, but returned after halftime. The Bengals were able to get their scoring by way of Cedric Benson and Bernard Scott, who combined for just under 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns, which were able to give them all the lead they needed.

Kellen Clemens would go on to hit Danario Alexander for a 25-yard touchdown with 1:08 left in the game, but it was too little, too late. The two field goals that St. Louis were able to put up before the fourth weren't enough. Though Green missed time with an injury and didn't see much action after it, he still had 115 yards receiving off of just six catches, with a long of 55 that led to a Cincinnati score earlier in the game.

Next, Cincinnati wil ltake on the Arizona Cardinals at home, while the Rams will play the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. For a full boxscore with stats on the game, go here.
