The New England Patriots stifled Tebow Time last week and now return to an old AFC East rival, the Miami Dolphins. At 11-3, the Patriots hold the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff picture, but they will need to fend off the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans. Defeating the Dolphins would be a step in the right direction.
Dolphins Vs. Patriots: TV Schedule, Game Time Announcers And More
The New England Patriots finish out the season series with the Miami Dolphins by hosting them on Christmas Eve. It is unlikely that the Dolphins will receive any early Christmas gifts from the Patriots.
Tom Brady wasn't able to do all that much with tight end Rob Gronkowski against the Denver Broncos. Instead, he found tight end Aaron Hernandez for nine catches, 129 yards and one touchdown. And if it can't be either tight end, there's always Wes Welker to be found. The Patriots have too many weapons for one defense to handle.
The Dolphins, meanwhile, are closing out the season with Jeff Bowles as the interim head coach. They lost at home to the Patriots, 38-24, to open the season, which began the spiraling down of Tony Sparano's time as the Dolphins' head coach. The Dolphins did defeat the Bills last weekend, 30-23, making that five victories in the last seven games. The team had started 0-7.
