VIDEO: DeAngelo Williams Touchdown Gives Carolina An Early Lead

The first touchdown of the day belongs to Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams. He gave the Panthers an early 7-0 over the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers with his sixth rushing touchdown of the season.

Williams scored on an eight-yard run over the left guard at the 10:17 mark of the first quarter. It was also Carolina’s first possession of the game.

The video of Williams’ touchdown:

With the game still in the first quarter, Williams has 24 rushing yards on just three carries.

He scored touchdowns in each of the Panthers’ last two games. Williams also ran for more than 140 yards in his last two games, starting something of a hot streak for him. Prior to Week 16, Williams had 717 rushing yards on 141 carries. Carolina re-signed him to a five-year, $43 million contract with $21 million in guaranteed money.
