NFL Scores Week 16: Giants Vs. Jets, Victor Cruz Helps Win The Battle Of The Big Apple 29-14

The New York Giants beat their Big Apple counterparts, the New York Jets, by a score of 29-14. Ahmad Bradshaw and Victor Cruz led the way for the Giants offense.

The New York Giants kept their playoff hopes alive with a 29-14 win over the New York Jets in Week 16. The Giants needed a win to keep pace with the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East title. Depending on the outcome of Dallas' game this week, it sets up a battle for all the marbles in that division in the season's final week.

Victor Cruz scored a 99-yard touchdown in the second quarter. That gave the Giants a lead they would not surrender. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw played a big part in the efforts, scoring twice on the ground, despite rushing for just 54 yards. Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul picked up two sacks, giving him 15.5 for the season.

The Jets defense could not deliver on the truckloads of smack talk that led up to the game. They sacked Eli Manning twice and picked him once. The Jets offense struggled. Quarterback Mark Sanchez was picked off twice, and Plaxico Burress had a touchdown called back because of offensive pass interference.

The Giants play the Cowboys next week. The New York Jets take on the Miami Dolphins next week.
