The updates coming in about Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's right hand, which got bashed into the helmet of Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Jason Babin, report that X-rays are negative, meaning it's not broken.
Tony Romo Injury: X-Rays Negative On Grotesquely Swollen Hand
Still, as this screencap shows, that hand is rather swollen and, frankly, pretty gross.
Look at that thing, especially over the pinky. His hand looks like a white version of what I imagine Eddy Curry’s hands look like after a week that Golden Corral had members-only specials. I’m not familiar with the complexion of Romo’s hand when it’s not injured, but there are some red dots in there, which could indicate broken blood vessels, or just really weird freckles.
Either way, Stephen McGee is in at quarterback for the Cowboys, as this game is meaningless. Next week, the Cowboys will play the Giants in game that will decide the NFC East.
UPDATE: According to ESPN’s John Clayton, Romo’s day is done, and he’ll rest up for the big game against the Giants next week.
