Playing concurrently with the Detroit Lions, who can clinch the final playoff spot in the NFC, the 7-7 Seattle Seahawks can only play their hardest and win against the San Francisco 49ers to make sure they don't seal their own fate, and they're doing just that. With a touchdown pass from Tarvaris Jackson to Doug Baldwin, and absolutely stifling defense, the Seahawks are leading their divisional rivals 10-3 at the break.
49ers Vs. Seahawks: Seattle Up 10-3 On San Francisco At Halftime
Though they came up just inches short of scoring the first rushing touchdown of the year against the 49ers, the Seahawks have held Alex Smith to only 43 passing yards in the first half. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have gotten 83 yards on just 14 carries from Marshawn Lynch, who has scored a touchdown in 10 straight games, though none yet.
If the 49ers lose, the Green Bay Packers clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs, and the Seahawks are still alive — depending on the outcome of Chargers-Lions — for the playoffs.
