49ers Vs. Seahawks: Marshawn Lynch’s ‘Beast Mode’ Ends SF’s Streak

The San Francisco 49ers have been amongst the most stout rushing defenses in NFL history this season, heading into their Week 16 encounter with the Seattle Seahawks having not allowed a rushing touchdown all year. Marshawn Lynch headed into the game having scored in 10 straight games. Maybe it should be no surprise that "Beast Mode" won the battle.

Following a blocked punt by the Seahawks that set them up at the 4-yard line, Lynch took the ball on the first play, went around the left end and fought his way into the end zone. It was the first rushing touchdown the 49ers had allowed all year and gave Lynch a franchise-record 11th straight game with a touchdown.

Lynch was already having a pretty solid game up until that point. The Seahawks running back has racked up 98 yards rushing in the game and has now scored a rushing touchdown in four straight games and rushed for at least one touchdown in 10 of 11 games. He has scored 13 touchdowns during his touchdown streak.
