A 3-8 record normally isn't something to celebrate, but considering where the Carolina Panthers were last season three wins aren't such a bad thing. This time last year, Carolina had just one win and barely looked functional in their losses. Thanks to rookie Cam Newton at quarterback, the Panthers have been more competitive on a weekly basis in 2011, even if their record doesn't show it.

The skid has come against some of the league's best, including the Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears. Still, quarterback Josh Freeman has struggled of late, throwing 10 interceptions to seven touchdowns in those five losses.
