After reports that had Willis McGahee signing with the Denver Broncos, it now appears that the deal might not be finalized after all.
According to NFL reporter Jason La Confora, McGahee will be brought in for a workout by the Broncos, but that no deal has yet been signed. McGahee was told by the Baltimore Ravens that he would be released on Thursday.

Free agent running back Willis McGahee will sign a three year deal with the Denver Broncos, sources reported Friday. As expected, the Baltimore Ravens let McGahee go earlier this week, and now he’s found a new home in Denver.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal will be worth $7.5 million over three years, with $3 million guaranteed. McGahee has battled injuries in recent years, and over the past two years in Baltimore he saw his role dramatically reduced thanks to the emergence of Ray Rice as the Ravens’ feature back. His release was as much a function of Rice’s emergence as any perceived decline in ability.

Citing NFL sources, the Baltimore Sun reports that the Ravens made the decision at their most recent roster evaluation but GM Ozzie Newsome didn’t confirm the decision.
The Ravens aren’t releasing anyone before March 3rd because that’s the date the current labor deal between the NFL owners and players expires. Once that date passes, and until a new CBA is in place, there will be no player movement.
