Free agent safety Bob Sanders has less than two days to sign with a team with the league’s Collective Bargaining Agreement with the players expiring on Thursday night. He’s visited two teams to this point -- Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars -- and will visit a third on Wednesday.
Bob Sanders Will Visit New York Jets On Free Agency Tour
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Sanders will visit the New York Jets. The idea of Sanders in New York doesn’t seem too far-fetched since the Jets have shown a penchant for veterans (especially those with big names....LaDainian Tomlinson).
Sanders reportedly passed a physical with the Jaguars so we think he’s healthy. He ended the 2010 season on IR with the Indianapolis Colts.
If Sanders doesn’t sign by Wednesday night, he’ll be left waiting to sign with a team until the owners and players agree on a new CBA. Once March 4th hits, there will be no more player movement.
