Brandon Marshall Expected To Be Discharged From Hospital Saturday After Stabbing

In the hours after Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall was stabbed, it now appears that his injuries, thankfully, are relatively minor. The NFL network’s Jason La Canfora tweets:

Brandon Marshall will be discharged from hospital in about an hour, according to his agent, Kennard McGuire. Full recovery in 2-3 weeks...

Given the NFL lockout in place, players and team officials are largely prohibited from contacting one another. However, in this special case, an NFL spokesman was quoted by NFL.com as saying that this incident is an exception.

“The team doctor can see him. The trainer and team doctor can consult with his other doctors. The team can send well wishes or other types of appropriate expressions of support.”
