We’re now in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. This is the point at which getting us to care becomes a challenge. Fans are starting to lose interest. TV analysts begin to shift their attention back to picks that happened hours or days ago. But at least the teams care, right? The Eagles and Patriots are still all business, right, y’all?
New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles Make Funniest Trade In NFL Draft History
↵
↵Fact of the day: Pats just traded No. 193 to Eagles for No. 194. Their streak of a draft day trade each year since 2000 lives another year.

That's it. That's the entire trade. The Patriots voluntarily allowed the Eagles to cut in front of them for free. Now, I'm sure they only did so because they didn't think the Eagles had designs on the guy they were after, but this was just a trade for trade's sake.
↵For the next trick, a team should declare that it is trading a trade to a trade for another trade. Maybe that means that nothing happens, and maybe that means that the team will have to line up 25 yards behind scrimmage in all 16 games. We can’t know until we try.
