Ray Rice Stands By Comments About Hines Ward After DUI
Despite the story that Rice’s words became, he stands by them all.
He’s right -- but was it the right spot for Rice to say something? I’m not sure but any situation that involves someone speaking out against drunk driving has to be right on some level.

Ward’s career has been marked by reliable excellence and occasionally dirty play on the field, but the Super Bowl XL MVP’s reputation off the field has been nothing but gold. Ward is the reigning champion of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, and has been so active in the mixed-race community (Ward is half-black, half-Korean) that he was named to the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders by Barack Obama in 2010.
It is unclear what punishment or suspension Ward might face from the NFL or the Steelers, given the current NFL lockout. The last player of Ward’s caliber cited for DUI was Braylon Edwards in September 2010; Edwards missed part of the New York Jets’ next game as a result of the arrest.
