Lee Evans Traded From Bills To Ravens, According To Report

Former Bills receiver Lee Evans adds vertical threat to Ravens offense.

Lee Evans has been traded to the Baltimore Ravens from the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal adds some much-needed experience to a young Ravens offense, as well as a legitimate deep threat for quarterback Joe Flacco.

It is no surprise that this trade comes the day after the Ravens' preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. Baltimore struggled mightily during the game, especially on offense where the youth in the receiving corps was most evident. Prior to Evans' arrival, rookie Torrey Smith was considered the de facto No. 2 receiver on the team. He finished with zero catches on three targets, and the offense mustered just 206 total passing yards.

The Bills will reportedly receive a fourth round pick as compensation. Evans was supplanted by Steve Johnson as the Bills' top target last year, but still managed 37 receptions for 578 yards and four touchdowns.
