Redskins Vs. Colts: Game Time, TV Schedule, Position Battles and More
John Beck will lead the Redskins against the Manning-less Colts in Indianapolis Friday night during the second week of the NFL preseason.
The Washington Redskins will travel to Indianapolis to face off against the Colts on Friday night as part of the second week of the NFL preseason schedule. Even though the Redskins defeated the defending AFC Champion Steelers in the first week of the preseason with Rex Grossman, John Beck has been given the nod to start against the Colts. Besides the battle to replace Donovan McNabb, running back Tim Hightower, who ran for 44 yards on 10 carries last week, will continue to try to take the starting running back position away from Ryan Torain, who will likely sit out for the second week with a broken hand.
For the Colts, who lost last week to the St. Louis Rams, Peyton Manning has not been cleared to play from his offseason neck surgery so the only position battle at the quarterback position is between Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky for Manning's backup. Watch for first-round pick, left tackle Anthony Castonzo, to continue to make his push to be Manning's blind-side protector at left tackle where Jeff Linkenbach, who signed with the Colts as a college free agent from the University of Cincinnati in 2010, is right now.
