Cardinals Vs. Packers: Game Time, TV Schedule, Position Battles and More
Kevin Kolb will lead the Cardinals to Green Bay to face off against the reigning Super Bowl Champions Packers on Friday night.

New quarterback Kevin Kolb will be leading the Cardinals north to face last year's Super Bowl Champions, the Packers in Green Bay on Friday night as part of the second week of the NFL's preseason schedule. Kolb's debut as the Cardinal's starting quarterback was successful as the team beat the Oakland Raiders last week by a score of 24-18, even though Kolb was the only quarterback on the team that didn't throw for a touchdown. In the backfield, second-round pick Ryan Williams, who has looked impressive at camp, will work to take as many carries away from Beanie Wells as he can. Keep an eye on first-round pick Patrick Peterson, who will have his biggest challenge yet -- working against the Packers receivers.
Last week, Aaron Rodgers looked impressive in the short period of time that he was in the game, even though the Packers fell to the Browns by a score of 27-17. Rodgers completed six of his eight passes for one touchdown before he was replaced by backups Matt Flynn and Graham Harrell. This week, like Kolb, Rodgers will stay in the game for a longer period of time, and he'll be reunited with his starting tight end, Jermichael Finley, who was placed on injured reserve after tearing his ACL last year in the fifth week of the season. James Starks, the young running back who helped the Packers win the Super Bowl last season, will miss Friday night's game which will allow Ryan Grant to get a bigger share of the carries to help work his way back to the top of the depth chart.
