Arian Foster Injury Is To The Same Hamstring As Before

It's the same story for Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, who was forced to leave Saturday's matchup with the San Francisco 49ers after injuring his hamstring. The injury is nothing new for Foster, and is to the same left hamstring he strained during training camp. While there's been no word on how long he may be out of action, a nagging hamstring injury is not an encouraging sign.

John McClain confirmed Foster aggravated his strained hamstring, noting the Texans running back would not be back on Saturday.

Foster won’t return after injuring his left hamstring. It’s the same one he hurt in camp. He won’t return against the Niners.

And, of course, there's already been speculation about Foster's return, and whether he'll be back for the Texans opener against the Indianapolis Colts. ESPN AFC South blogger Paul Kuharsky had the following to say.

Arian Foster has left hamstring injury again. Start timer on whether he’s ready for #Colts. #Texans

We should know more about the extent of his injury, and whether it may be a long-term issue, following the game, or perhaps in the next few days. Until then, Texans fans will be holding their breath.
