The injury to Houston Texans RB Arian Foster is not serious, head coach Gary Kubiak reiterated on Monday. Foster tweaked his hamstring in the first quarter of the Texans third preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers which immediately had Texans fans (and fantasy football owners) concerned.
Arian Foster Injury: ‘Everything’s Positive’ Right Now
Kubiak said that all indications are positive right now.
"Everything's positive today," Kubiak said. "It's the same thing we dealt with at the start of camp. Until he's there, though, there's going to be a concern. All indications are positive."
What has some people concerned is that this is a similar hamstring injury to the one that cost him nearly two weeks of training camp earlier in the month but, if we’re to believe Kubiak, it’s not a major concern right now.
Foster is not only of significant interest to fantasy football players but to the Texans as well. He had a terrific 2010 campaign and the team will need that again in 2011 as they try to get over the playoff hump.
