You know you're trying too hard to make Brett Favre news happen when even Brett Favre doesn't want to play along anymore. The latest rumor, Favre-to-Miami, seemed to have enough legs for one Miami Herald reporter to make his way to Hattiesburg, where a slow-moving, gingerly-walking ex-gunslinger was none-too-pleased to see him.

“I haven’t heard anything, and I don’t have any interest,” Favre snapped, quickly retreating into a pickup truck. “No.”
“You’re from Miami?” Favre asked, when introduced to a reporter from the Miami Herald. “Don’t you have anything better to do?”
To be fair, “Don’t you have anything better to do” is exactly what many NFL fans have been asking Favre for the past two years...
Since they can't have Favre, the Dolphins went out and did the next-best thing. They signed one of his former back-ups, Kevin O’Connell, who played under Brett in NY. Hey, it worked for Seattle and Green Bay.
