Rex Ryan Wishes Good Health To Shaun Ellis, But Not Much Else

Now that Shaun Ellis is an ex-New York Jets defensive and a current member of the New England Patriots, Jets head coach Rex Ryan knows how to paint a new scene: Ellis as the enemy.

On Sunday, Ryan addressed Ellis’ departure to Foxboro:

Rex on Shaun Ellis: "The fact that he chose them.. there's no way I'm going to wish him well. There's no chance of that." #nyjless than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

Dem’s fightin’ words, no?

To be fair, that quote is just a portion of Ryan's thoughts on Ellis' move north (to a better chance at a Super Bowl?). Ryan also told reporters that he wants Ellis to be healthy and to play well, but not that well. You know--Ellis can do all he wants against the rest of the league, but Ryan is going to come out before his games with the Patriots and tell reporters that Ellis won't get past his offensive line all game long. Cue the career day for Ellis.
