Jamaal Charles Injury: Chiefs RB Limps Off Field In Second Quarter

Kansas City star running back Jamaal Charles limped off the field midway through the second quarter of the Chief's NFL preseason game against the defending champion Green Bay Packers. The fantasy football stud has not returned since. No details of the injury have been disclosed but CBSSports.com reporter Dave Richard indicated that it didn't look serious at this time.

If the damage is as tame as is being reported, then it is likely that Charles’ night is done for precautionary reasons.

Needless to say, the decision to have a star running back on the field at all during the second quarter of the fourth preseason game is somewhat dubious. Both fantasy owners and the entire city of Kansas City may have spontaneously combusted had Charles felt the brunt of a serious injury in an utterly meaningless game.
