Just about anyone you ask will tell you that the Philadelphia Eagles are on the short list for favorites to win the Super Bowl. They'll open with a test that may be a little tougher than you think on first glance.
Eagles Vs. Rams: Game Time, TV Schedule, Announcers And More
The Philadelphia Eagles will get a solid road test against the St. Louis Rams in Week 1 as they start what many believe will be a run to the Super Bowl.
Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo knows the Eagles well, having been an assistant there for eight seasons. He comes out of the Andy Reid coaching tree and was an assistant under Jim Johnson. His Rams may not be getting as much attention as the Eagles nationally, but they have quietly put together a pretty solid team that should once again compete for the NFC West crown.
The Eagles have a team that has been called a "Dream Team" and are led by Michael Vick, who seems to have become the quarterback everyone expected him to be back when he was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2001 draft. This is a different kind of test for him, though, as this will be the first time since 2006 that he's opened the season as the clear No. 1.
