The New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins begin the new NFL season's Monday Night Football schedule with ESPN's now-annual doubleheader. The most appealing part of a game between AFC East opponents will probably be finding out how well Tom Brady and Chad Ochocinco click in the passing game.
Patriots Vs. Dolphins: Game Time, TV Schedule, Announcers And More
The Patriots brought Ochocinco in from the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of the lockout as the team's newest high-profile receiver, following in the footsteps of Randy Moss. If the two are able to click as quick as Brady and Moss did just a few seasons ago, the Patriots will be in for an impressive season. The Patriots other big offseason addition, no pun intended, is former All-Pro Albert Haynesworth.
The Dolphins will also have some new faces to showcase. Instead of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams, the Miami backfield now consists of Reggie Bush and rookie Daniel Thomas. With Chad Henne still at quarterback, though, the Dolphins will probably be relying on its defense -- starring Cameron Wake and Jason Taylor -- to keep the game close.
